Our mission is to accelerate the adoption of AI technology in Africa through R&D and collaboration with key stakeholders, entrepreneurs, think tanks, investors, and industry leaders to drive growth and development and shape the future of the continent. Through our platform, we aim to showcase the transformative solutions emerging from Africa.

Our Team

Convergence was founded with a vision to drive technological advancements by fostering a thriving ecosystem for innovation on the continent. We’re a team of Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence experts with diverse backgrounds and expertise looking to reshape and empower the African AI ecosystem.

As the Founder and Head Machine Learning Engineer, I bring my extensive knowledge of Africa’s AI ecosystem and my experience in leading end-to-end AI research projects with diverse teams of individuals hailing from Africa, Asia, Europe, and North America.

As the COO of Convergence, I am a machine learning engineer with solid analytic skills in working with unstructured datasets and building successful ML products with a strong engineering focus that solves real-world problems. 

As an AI/ML researcher, I am very passionate about the limitless possibilities of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, and I am committed to pushing the boundaries of innovation in this dynamic field especially in Africa. My pursuit of knowledge and problem solving skills fuel my drive to make meaningful contributions to the future of AI and ML.

A self-motivated Machine Learning enthusiast interested in AI and Robotics for global development. He is a first-class graduate of mechanical engineering from the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), Nigeria. Before joining Convergence, he collaborated on AI projects at Omdena and contributed to Ivy(unify.ai)’s codebase to unify all Machine Learning (ML) frameworks.
